BEST LOVED DESTINATION

Someone asked me yesterday – out of Europe (UK, Cyprus), Turkey (Istanbul) and USA, which is my favourite place. I thought for a while and realised I couldn’t think of any specific place or country and I said I don’t have any specific favorite place. They thought I was giving a diplomatic answer but to be honest I can’t pick any specific place because for me every city has a different experience to offer, every place has its own uniqueness and culture. I introspected more about what makes these cities so unique. Is it Belly Dancing, the view of the Bosporus, the extravagant flavor of the Turkish tea or donor kebab, or being the only cityin the world where east intersects with the west

Or is it the pubs at every corner of London, all those castles that leave you with a feeling of splendid royalty, countryside picturesque view of Inverness or listening to the soft sound of the bag piper of Scotland.

Thinking about all these destinations how can I forget the glorious beaches of Cyprus or the harbour of Kyrenia or the ruins of Salamis

Finally after taking a dream trip to all these places there’s no way I can forget about world’s most developed nation-US.Walking down the streets of the fashion capital of the world- New York, in the coldest weather ever filling your nostrils with the freshly drizzledsnowflakes accompanied by the aroma of fresh warm coffee in your hand in an attempt to keep you warm, by passing the streets with the most delightful and glorious cafes and stores, staring at the never ending skyscrapers with your straining neck

Or is it the magnificent golden gate bridge on the west coast (in San Francisco), eating delicious Mexican food and to be able to go to Lake Tahoe for skiing or snowboarding.

Well if I really think about it then I realise its just not about the culture, the beauty of the place but the whole experience. My experience was completely different in all of these places I travelled to so I definitely cannot pick one of these. This also makes me realise that there are so many places yet to visit, and ‘experience’ and that ‘one lifetime is perhaps too short to experience what our world has to offer’… so no, each city is my favourite in some way or form, as it brings a new experience and teaches me more about the world we live in.
